Hi Loves,
Its been quite sometime. I've had to take some time to readjust areas in my life. I've re-arranged my studio over and over. One is not ever fully satisfied. I will be posting more often. You can look for some fun and inspiring changes to how you see yourself as an artist.
As with most blank canvas', it starts with a vision. How do you see yourself as an artist? Look beyond the skill level and turn inward. What do you get out of the word 'Art'? Does it cause a feeling of belonging or does it provide time for you to just blend in with your heartbeat?
I tend to stress, fret and stew over the word 'Art' as it leads to another's impression of what the canvas is meant to be. My vision is blurred and mistakes happen as I forget the purpose. The purpose is to have fun. So I now say 'play' every time I turn the lights on.
As for our future together, we have a long and loving journey ahead of us. I will be creating posts of what you need to get started, how to find inexpensive supplies and setting up your table. We will create a beautiful canvas as we play.
I will attempt to show you shortcuts to help you draw, sculpt and paint like a professional kid. Notice how I took artist and art out of it? The pressure is enough trying to get your vision out of you without blinding it completely.
I will also show you ways to bring a completely dead project back to life. My aim is to make your inner artist learn to play without expectation of perfection. WE will journey the twists, turns and downright splashing of paint until we have created a colorful world.
